Hair Cloning Research - Is There A Feasible Way For To Cut Hair Replacement Costs?
Scientists are always working to help find better hair replacement procedures in laboratories. They want to see methods that will work better for the each type of people who goes for hair replacement procedures. One area of interest to many of these scientists looking for a better and lower hair replacement costs for patients is on hair cloning research.
Hair cloning promises to be a revolutionary process that would give people who have very little hair a chance to undergo hair replacement. It will do this by multiplying the hair that a patient already has on his or her head.
Hair cloning is done on cells, or skin papilla cells and cloning them in a laboratory environment. These are then multiplied and combined. The end result is the increase in the number of hairs available for hair transplantation.
Hair cloning has been proven possible in numerous scientific studies. Recently a group of researchers had a culture in which they multiplied the number of skin cells papilla. With that possible, hair cloning is a step away.
It would seem that hair replacement procedures using cloned hair is possible. However, more research should be done to determine if the hair can be safely and effectively transplanted with reasonable costs. First, the cloning process must be completely perfect and only then can you start hair transplant.
More research should be done on hair cells that can be used for hair cloning and then hair transplant procedures. Some of the cells go through several stages and end in the cell death in a very short period of time. These cells would not be suitable for use with hair transplant surgery. Other cells that last longer should be used on this project.
A scientist named Dr. GHO has done some work and earned the a patent for his work with hair multiplication. It is not clear whether this is much like hair cloning, or not. This is because Dr GHO neglected to published his results in medical journals. Without that, other doctors can’t evaluated GHO.
Some people with autoimmune diseases such as alopecia areata can now proceed through the hair transplant techniques through donor layer method. However, it would seem that hair cloning is easier for these people especially those who often have very little hair to use for grafts.
It is generally believed that hair transplant grafts using cloned hair will be about the same price as the normal hair transplants available today. However there are other experts who believe that the hair replacement costs would be higher with hair cloning - perhaps three or four times higher because the specialized techniques needed to get more work done.
So is Hair Cloning research showing that this will be a feasible method in the future to reduce hair replacement costs? Perhaps not as much as you would like to but eventually it would reduce costs. It is believed that hair cloning could be used for hair transplant procedures as soon to be five years from now, or even earlier. If you are considering a hair transplant now, you want to wait a bit as hair cloning is something you can think about especially if you have very little hair.
